About Aaron
Hi, I’m Aaron. I’ve worked in the further education field for around 20 years, holding various roles from teaching to management, eventually specialising in health and safety training for vocational courses. I hold a degree in Business and several qualifications in personnel management. My experience includes working in secure educational settings within the Prison Service, where I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and starting points. Outside of work, I’m a family man at heart. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, getting out in the fresh air, and exploring the countryside. I also love travelling, experiencing new cultures, exploring historical sites, and trying new cuisines!

NSAR Accredited Safety Critical Trainer and Assessor. James Scanlon has been a key figure in the rail industry since 2012, bringing over a decade of experience to his current role as an NSAR Accredited Safety Critical Trainer and Assessor. Throughout his career, James has developed a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that the next generation of rail professionals are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to uphold the highest standards of safety.
His expertise covers various aspects of railway operations, from conducting meticulous safety assessments to delivering thorough training sessions that meet industry standards. Known for his meticulous approach and dedication to excellence, James plays a crucial role in shaping a safer future for the rail industry.
When he's not working, you might find him spending time with friends and family, or engaging in some good-natured banter. His sense of humour and commitment make him a valued colleague and friend both on and off the job.
